"Roy Bailie - Ancestry and other things" - is a website that I set up in order to share my experiences and in particular my work on ancestry. Since my retirement I have spent many hours building up my family tree and learning so much of my family's past and of the history of Ireland over the past few hundred years.

Rather than publish a book I have chosen to publish three documents which I call my Trilogy and I hope you enjoy them.

These three documents should appeal to anyone who is interested in genealogy in general and in particular to anyone who wants to learn more of the families that are prominent in my tree.

It is a hobby and so my work is just my endeavours and should not be relied upon for accuracy.

My intention has been to record in as much detail as I could my findings while hopefully making the documents light hearted and entertaining.
